This warm-vintage expression does not have the same vertical lift that we saw in the glorious 2016 edition

Before tasting this bottle

This will require at least 15 years to be at its best and 20 would not surprise me

Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Vintage:2017 the same cant be said(exclusively from Les Grands Champs as Les Pluchots was recently replanted). A more elegant nose speaks of cool and refined aromas of plum, dark currant and lovely spice wisps. There is better density to the more powerful and serious medium weight flavors where the slightly warm finish is notably firmer. At least some patience advised.
