A black cat sits in three quarter profile with its chin lifted and its green eyes on something off to the side. Around its throat is a wide gold collar hung with a large turquoise cabochon and smaller red and blue stones, drawn with enough weight to look like real setting work. Roses fill the lower two thirds: full pink blooms at both sides, deep blue ones along the bottom edge, small red buds tucked between the leaves.
