The print is in three different tones of blue with metallic gold accents on a white background

stains or odours - this looks to have seen very moderate use and was well stored over the last 70 or so years

but it is essentially black

Antique Japonaiserie French Lacquer Box for Straight Pins 19th c Sewing 1950s dress 5 1/2 in height -This is an antique French lacquered box featuring decoration on its lid in the Japonaiserie style. The scene is of a rickshaw with driver and passenger, a geisha as viewed from the back, a running cat and a bird, I think a crane, flying overhead. Depos (registered) is written at the lower right with the makers initials next to it. The front of the box reads Epingles dAcier (steel pins, which I take to be straight pins). The box measures 3 1 2 by 2 1 2
